Gavin hard at work rebuilding the deck of our old tile cart that dad and Grandpa built back in the early 90's.
Gavin was driving our 9220 south on 96A two weeks ago when a gray 4door sedan attempted to pass him with on coming traffic. The car did not complete the pass before crowding back into the south bound lane at which point Gavin took evasive action to avoid a collision. That action caused the tile cart that he was towing behind the tractor and tile plow to over turn and sustain significant damage.
To no one's surprise, no motorists stopped. Since we were so close to our shop and did not want to cause more of a problem on the road than there already had been, we got things cleaned up and back to our shop before calling the sheriff's department. We were told that since we had left the scene there was nothing they could do.
Lesson learned in many respects.
