History of Richwine Farm and Kim Gately (née Richwine)
Since 1928 Richwine Farm has been in the family for more than eight decades. Ron Richwine retired as a grain and hay farmer. Now Kim Gately (née Richwine) has taken the reins to do what she does best, care for horses on the 165 acre family farm.
Kim Gately was born "horse crazy" in Ronan, Montana. She trained show horses, managed brood mare
s and babies, and layups for injury rehabilitation. She rose to fame as a Multiple World and Reserve World Trainer and Coach for APHA, PtHA. She has also been a Coach/Trainer of multiple world and Reserve World Champions. Kim spent 28 years in the Seattle market, specializing in the All Around Horse and Rider, as well as, owned and operated Paradise Stables, before returning home to the family farm. She has two daughters that also train quarter horses in Nashville. Kim's success stems from her years of experience, knowledge, and talent as a trainer.
