Buck Brook Alpacas, Inc. Buck Brook Alpacas is a 38 acre alpaca farm nestled in the Western Catskills in Sullivan County, New York two hours from New York City.

Buck Brook Alpacas strives to raise alpacas in a comfortable and environmentally friendly setting while promoting agriculture within the region and inspiring and educating customers on the benefits of farming. The farm specializes in fiber production from its herd of Huacaya Alpacas. The herd consists of over 30 male and female alpacas of a variety of colors: black, brown, fawn, grey, and white. The fiber produced is hypoallergenic, and the herd is fed a predominantly organic diet. Our two herd sires are an award winner and a descendant of champion blood lines, both available for breeding. Buck Brook Alpacas began in 2013 through the procurement of alpacas from Nature’s Reserve alpaca farm in Callicoon, NY. Many of our animals produce award-winning fibers which are available for sale as roving and yarn. Several of our award-winning males are also available for sire. Our Farm Store currently offers pumpkins, gourds, and alpaca gold manure beans. The farm will grow to offer alpaca products including yarn, hats, scarves, socks, rugs and blankets as well. 🍂 IMPORTANT FESTIVAL UPDATE 🍂

SUNDAY’S SUGAR LOAF FALL FESTIVAL HAS BEEN CANCELLED

After careful consideration and out of an abundance of caution, we have made the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow’s festivities, Sunday, October 11, due to a potentially dangerous storm moving into our area.

The safety of our vendors, visitors, volunteers, residents, and businesses will always be our top priority.

🍁 But WOW, what an incredible Saturday! 🍁

The weather was beautiful, the crowds were amazing, and our little hamlet was absolutely buzzing with excitement! We couldn’t have asked for a better day, and while we’re disappointed to cut the weekend short, we’re so grateful to be ending on such a high note!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to our incredible vendors, local businesses, volunteers, and the thousands of visitors who came out to celebrate Sugar Loaf with us today. You are what makes this festival so special! ❤️

We’re disappointed that Mother Nature has other plans for Sunday, but we’re incredibly thankful for the wonderful day we shared.

My weekend at the Country Living Fair In Rhinebeck, New York. 1. Pet an alpaca— they are so soft! Buck Brook Alpacas

2. Learned lots at the panel discussions at the Main Stage

3. Coveted some yellowware.

4. Shopped till I dropped.

5. I loved this quilt square trinket dish. I also got a Jimothy-themed cup from this maker!

6. This pumpkin stack has my heart.

7. I was super impressed with the landscaping and gardens at the Dutchess County Fair Grounds.

8. Garden planter goals.

9. Saw Annie Sloan and her personal sketchbooks at the Milo’s VIP tent!

10. While I was there, I picked up a cute cross-stitch kit (created by my multi-talented boss).

11. Powered up every day on one of these amazing breakfast sandwiches at the concession stand.

12-13. Stayed in a super-cute old farmhouse.

14. Asters were in bloom everywhere!
