Is it the Holy Spirit visiting our parish in the form of a dove for the feast day of our patron saint? No, it’s just the bees of St. Mary’s clustering outside on a very hot day, but still a neat thing to see after today’s service.

Has anyone else ever been stung by a bumblebee? I went out this evening to gather the wax cappings from my last extraction. I had placed them outside for my bees to clean several days ago, so there was no honey residue left. There were, however, a few bumblebees still trying to find something sweet on them. This is typical and the bumblebees have always just vacated when I started gathering up my wax. I’ve never known them to sting at all. But today, 3 of them popped me. The stings weren’t nearly as painful as a honeybee, but they still got my attention!
I had to put on my bee suit to finish the job.

Excited to see everyone tomorrow at Earth’s Bounty and to offer the first of our 2026 summer honey. This month’s honey offerings come from the hives of Queens Mattie Bell, Lillie, Flora Mae, Myrtle, Lyla, Sally, and Ruby.
We bottle in small batches in order to highlight the unique qualities of each hive’s honey.
We will have sample spoons available so you can try each one before purchasing your favorites.

The weather is hot and so are our chili peppers! 🌶️
I’ll be bringing these chilis along with our honey, a limited amount of Alli-Fire habanero honey, and our fantastic beeswax balms to Earth’s Bounty tomorrow at the Max.

Y’all come out this morning to the farmer’s market In downtown Rose Hill to support your local farmers and crafters. There is beautiful fresh produce, farm fresh eggs, delicious baked goods, custom crafts, and of course honey, habanero honey, and beeswax balms from the Allifaire Farm.

It’s blueberry season! Come see us tomorrow at Earth’s Bounty. We will be bringing blueberries, along with our honey and beeswax products. We will also have this year’s first batch of Habanero Hot Honey.
