We were busy in the garden yesterday trying to pick as many of our tomatoes as we could before the rain came. We are also fully stocked with lots of other fresh picked veggies this morning! 😋

🍅 Canning Tomatoes vs. Paste Tomatoes 🍅

We get asked this a lot during tomato season since we grow both canning tomatoes and paste tomatoes!!

➡️ Canning tomatoes are your classic, juicy tomatoes. They have more water & juice which makes them good for whole canned tomatoes, diced tomatoes, tomato juice, salsa, and sauces. They’re pretty darn versatile which makes them a great choice for preserving almost anything!

➡️ Paste tomatoes are meatier, with less water and fewer seeds. That means they cook down faster & make a thicker, richer sauce or tomato paste without needing as much time on the stove.

We sell our canning tomatoes for $1.25/lb.

We do have a waitlist for our paste tomatoes, which we sell for $2/lb - but we have paused taking orders for our paste toms for a bit until we get caught up.
