Eden Orchards

Eden Orchards This is for anyone who wants to know more about ordering a basket and what is involved. Using mostly organic fruits and vegetables. Mylissa

P.S.

This is an effort to provide our church pastor with healthy things to eat while he goes through chemotherapy at no cost to him or his family and to get more people eating heathier. I am buying the produce we are getting wholsale. Which usually means it will be at a much lower cost than you would normally be able to purchase "Organic" produce in the grocery store. However it also means that sometim

es what I order doesn't get shipped due to larger orders being filled first. This is very disapointing but completely out of my control. When this happens I just subtract the cost of the item not shipped from your order. I try to keep the cost between $20 and $25. I also try to make the items easy to split into half baskets if you find someone that you would like to split with. I decide what gets ordered the begining of each week. What gets ordered depends on the suggestions from all of you. If you don't tell me what you want I just pick off of the price sheet for the week, items that are on sale due to large quantities or in season. I order on Wednesday or no later than Thursday if I don't have enough people to order any earlier. If you don't tell me that you want a basket before that I probably don't have you down for one. If you are unsure please check in on this page or email me at [email protected]

The produce is delivered Friday morning. I go sort it into the basket sometime that day to be picked up that evening or Sunday after church. If you need to arrange a different pick up time please let me know. I want you to get your produce to you as fresh as possible so the sooner you get it the better. Sometimes I include extras in your basket -like loaves of organic bread or homemade peanut butter. These things are not always included and if you don't wish to get them please let me know. If you get an item that you don't want or like I would be happy to donate it to someone that needs it or can use it. If you choose to do this there will be no refund on the cost of that item. If you recieve produce that is spoiled or not edible please tell me so that I am able to contact the wholesaler and get a replacement or refund. If this happens and I am able to obtain a refund it will be deducted from your next order. This is a new adventure for me and I want you to be happy with your produce so please stay in touch to tell me what you like or dis-like. That is the only way that I can improve the process. I am sure there is more but that is all I can think of for now. Tell your friends so that we can all eat a little better. Please feel free to post your recipes and ideas on how to use the things you get each week.

When I first got out of veterinary school and started looking at horses prior to purchase (usually referred to as a “vet check” or a prepurchase exam), the horses usually fit into one of three categories. The first category was the horse with no problems noted at the time of the exam. That decis...
