We are a u-pick flower farm open to the public July-September. As we continue to grow our farm, we will be offering more varieties by appointment throughout the year including peonies in May and eucalyptus year round. Hello U-Pick Flower Club Members! I sent an email this morning but just in case you missed it, here are the details:

We're excited to have you as part of the farm this season. We are just a little under a month away!

A few important details to get you started:

🌸 U-Pick opens July 1st!

🌸 Our regular farm hours are Wednesday–Saturday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, but as a Flower Club member, you are welcome to visit 7 days a week during those same hours.

🌸 Your membership includes 6 pitcher fills throughout the season, all the way until the first frost.

🌸 The pitcher is yours to keep and bring back each time you visit.

For your first visit, please call or text me at 541-378-8917 a day ahead so I can get your pitcher ready for you and answer any questions you may have. After that, simply send a text when you come out (we can both keep track of your visit count that way) and enjoy our self-serve U-Pick experience.

We can't wait to see what you create and invite you to tag us in your social media posts with your beautiful flowers. Enjoy the season!

If you are seeing this and you aren't part of the club that's ok! You have two options for u-pick this season:
1) Join the club! You save $ and get exclusive access 7 days a week. Only a few spots left on our website.
2) Visit us during regular open hours: Wed-Saturday 8am-6pm. You don't have to be a part of the club to enjoy u-pick. We open July 1st.

Admiring my babies! Coral charm is Queen but the duchess has my heart. If you love FRAGRANT peonies like I do, this is a chance to grab a dozen mixed variety peonies this Saturday at the farm for $30 from 9-noon. Text me at 541-378-8917 to reserve yours!

A couple additional notes: roots take generally a couple weeks to form. Keep them in a bright warm spot out of direct sunlight. You can use the same process with dahlias (in soil)! Keep your soil constantly wet!!!

Did you know it’s best not to harvest every flower stem off your peony plant so that it has plenty of foliage to take in energy for the next season? I deadhead these guys so they don’t put more energy into making seeds but it’s so hard! I really should have done this before they even flowered but I keep some around as an insurance policy just in case my count for orders is off.

SOLD OUT. As I get all of the peony club members scheduled, I am happy to report that I will have some extra peonies to play with for Mother's Day arrangements. We don't always get peonies this early so it's a real treat! Instead of the paper wrapped dozen that I usually sell, I'm offering arrangements which include a vase filled with coral charm peonies, pretty willow filler and a couple other surprises. I am only offering 5 of these. If you want in, please text me at 541-378-8917. I will have these ready for delivery to Roseburg area, Saturday morning (5/9) for $60 or for pick up at the farm Saturday or on Mother's Day, for $50.

I get a lot of questions about coming to u-pick flowers at the farm or take a stroll through the field to take photos this time of year. In May, this is the closest to a blooming flower you should ever see. Peony season is different. In fact, if you ever see a bloom in the field, it is either deformed or I haven’t been doing my job. I cut these as soon as they are in marshmallow stage so that I can sell them as pre-cut stems. If I wait too long and they start to bloom, it decreases their vase life. So I am out here multiple times a day, especially when the sun is shining and the temps are in the high 60s and 70s cutting them at just the right stage. Did you know you can store peonies dry in a cooler for weeks at a time? It depends on the variety how long you can go without affecting quality but it’s one of the reasons I love peonies so much. They are so tough both in the field and out. If you are interested in visiting the farm - we are open for u-pick when there will be a variety of flowers in bloom July through September and even into October potentially. Right now, unfortunately, there’s not a lot to see here except dirt and peony buds. 😅🌺💗😎

UPDATE: Sold out!

Peonies are about to pop! And this is earlier than normal. For those of you who have signed up for my three weeks of peonies subscription, I will be getting in touch with you soon to see if you might want to get flowers around Mother’s Day. This may mean, though that you might have to skip a week and wait for the other varieties to bloom (then again, maybe not 🤣) There’s still time to get in on the three week subscription if you haven’t signed up yet - on our website. 🌺💗💕

***UPDATE: Help found! For those that may have been interested in this opportunity, I would encourage you to reach out to recruit hippo to see if you can participate with other employers. There are some great work experiences out there!***

I’m excited to be partnering with Recruit Hippo again this year to offer a paid work experience opportunity right here on the farm! I’ve loved working with high school students in past summers, and this opportunity is a little different—it’s available to start now and open to young adults looking to gain hands-on experience.

Recruit Hippo has a simple application process that takes about a week, and once you’re approved, you can earn $15/hour for up to 160 hours of work.

If you’re curious about what day-to-day life on a flower farm looks like, this is a great chance to dive in. Tasks can include planting and harvesting flowers, weeding and bed prep, washing buckets, organizing tools and supplies, building trellises or simple structures, setting up irrigation, helping with bouquet making, and getting orders ready for delivery or pickup. There’s always something to do, and you’ll learn a little bit of everything along the way.
