It’s National Port Wine Day! 🍇 🍷

Did you know we make port style wines? Laura’s personal favorites are our Ruby Reserve made with Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese, and our Cjruela, our Plum port wine.

In 2024 we took 100 of our wine club members to Portugal to the home of Port lines! It was a deep dive into the oldest wine country in the world!

Before email newsletters, there was Lynn, a typewriter and one very exciting “First Crush!” 🍇

In the summer of 1978, Lynn Koehler shared that Lynfred’s first wine, Cherry, had begun production, the new oak barrels had arrived, and Fred was working up to 14-hour days to bring their winery dream to life.

Nearly five decades later, the grapes are still arriving, the cellar is still bustling, and Lynfred remains a beloved Chicago suburban tradition.

Some things take patience. Great wine and a truly special hometown winery are worth the wait. 🍷
