Yesterday’s post surprised me in the best way.

So many other small business owners commented that they’re going through the exact same thing. Some even thanked me for being transparent because social media can make it feel like everyone else is constantly selling out, booked solid, and thriving.

But that isn’t always reality.

A lot of us have slow days. Slow weeks. Events that flop. Products that don’t sell like we hoped. Days where we question whether all the work is worth it.

We just don’t always post those parts.

So if you’re a small business owner struggling right now and all you see online are everyone else’s wins, please know you are not the only one.

There’s room to celebrate the good days and still be honest about the hard ones. 💛

And maybe we need a little more of that honesty online.

Vulnerability post 💛🍋

Yesterday we made $36 in 5 hours.

4 sales. That’s it.

We normally share the fun stuff, the busy events, the big orders and all the exciting moments of growing Sweet Squeeze Co. But this is part of small business too.

What people may not realize is that these sales aren’t just “extra money” for us. Sweet Squeeze Co helps our family with everyday needs. Groceries. Gas. Bills. Things our kids need. Regular life.

So when we have a $36 day, we feel it.

We still bought the supplies. We still prepped. We still packed everything up, loaded the car in this awful heat, set up and showed up hoping for a good day.

And sometimes… it just isn’t.

I’m not sharing this for sympathy. I’m sharing it because I’ve always wanted to show the real side of building this little business. The good days AND the days that make you wonder what you’re doing wrong.

But those 4 sales still mattered. Four people chose to spend their money with our family’s small business, and I’m incredibly thankful for every single one of them. 🥹💛

Yesterday was $36.

Next event, we load everything back up and try again. 🍋💪
