I'm a couple days late posting this, but it's crazy around here as usual!

Happy 1st birthday to the 2025 Grace-Buck national park litter.

We had the honor of celebrating with Archie since his mom is out of town and he's staying at the ranch. He got lots of treats, a cute hat and some plushies that he reluctantly shared with his mama Grace. He's a total goofball so he fits in perfectly and we love him dearly!!

Sub Zero has officially gotten on Gracie's last nerve today. Poor girl was just trying to binge watch Gilmore girls and he kept jumping on her section of the couch and getting in her face.

Gracie had her spay surgery yesterday and is recovering well. She's a little extra clingy, which isn't unusual for her when she's under the weather. She's always been like a 2nd shadow, right now, she is like a lap blanket when I sit down. Never more than 1 foot away from me no matter where I go.

I wouldn't have it any other way. She's such a sweet soul and one of the most loyal and loving dogs we've ever had. She'll spend her retirement taking long naps on the couch, afternoon laps in the pool, and running errands in the car with mom. All her favorite things!

It was another painful day here at the ranch. Our sweet Dakota crossed the rainbow bridge tonight into the arms of the Lord and grandma Susan.

Dakota was a sweet soul, a true gentle giant. She loved everything here at the ranch, especially the kids. She gave the best leaning hugs that could almost knock you over and had a sauntering walk that always reminded me of scar from the lion king. She also had the famous pyr paw she'd use to get your attention if she needed something, usually to be petted. She was anything but subtle with it, and always got her way. No one could say no to her sweet face!

9 years was not long enough to love her. She will be forever missed and leaves a huge void here at the ranch. We're never ready to say goodbye, even when we've had lots of practice. The good ones always leave with a piece of your heart.

Run free Coco Bear! You were the best of the best and so loved! We will miss you so much. Thank you for keeping the animals safe and for loving us so well!

The house is so quiet today. No more puppies to snuggle on the couch with..... except for all the grown puppies.

Time to get back to the rest of the ranch duties I've been neglecting. Stay tuned for fall updates here at Monticello Ranch!

The weather cleared my schedule today so I got to stay in comfy clothes and snuggle my babies all day. When I said I was going to soak up every second, I meant it. Even though I've mostly been laid up on the couch with these two, I did manage to get caught up on laundry and some other chores.

They leave tomorrow and it's going to free up my schedule a lot, but it's going to be a very sad day otherwise. We've gotten so attached to these sweet girls. Even Oso has gotten used to them and allows them to lay with him now.

Belle and Bao (now Molly) soaking up their last few days together before they go home to their forever familes Saturday.

Gotta say, these extra couple weeks to snuggle these girls before they go home has been such a blessing. Down side is we're all gonna be pretty emotional saying goodbye to them. We've gotten pretty attached.

They're going to amazing familes though and that's all I ever hope for for my puppies!

For now, I'm gonna soak up all the puppy kisses and lap snuggles!!

Btw keeping them off the couch is going well as you can see. Field goldens view couches as fluffy mountains that must be summited all the live long day. Zero fear of heights.
