Gate City’s name derives from Atlanta, Georgia’s nickname, the “Gate City.” In the 1800s, prior to the Civil War, Atlanta was the center of commerce in the south. Once known as Terminus, Atlanta served as a hub for railroads heading north, to the port of Savannah, south, and ultimately west. Atlanta branded itself as the “Gate” to the South, hence the name “Gate City.”

Join us on June 19 at 3 PM as Team USA takes on Australia alongside our friends from Roswell Soccer Club.

We’re making the match even more meaningful—$1 from every pint sold during the game will be donated directly back to Roswell Soccer Club to support their programs and players.

Our friends at Lola’s will be serving up delicious food, we’ll have the game on the big screen, and plenty of cold beer flowing all afternoon.

This Memorial Day, we take time to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten. 🇺🇸

We’re grateful for the freedom to gather with friends, share a drink, and enjoy moments together because of them.

Our taproom will be open today from 12–5 PM. The Artillery Room will be closed for the holiday. Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

Named after our hometown and inspired by a blend of old-school Southern charm and a little cosmic energy, The Well is a 5.8% American Pale Ale built for patio weather and river day refreshment.

A soft wheat backbone keeps it smooth and easy drinking, while Idaho 7 and Azacca hops bring waves of ripe pineapple, citrus peel, and a touch of pine.
