We recently had the opportunity to participate in a Brew Day hosted by our local brew supply shop (.brew.depot). Proprietor and all around brewmaster, Josh Lord (aka Lager Lord) worked alongside us - truly leading the way - as we brewed a ten-gallon batch clone of Bell’s Hazy Hearted on the SABCO "Brew Magic" system.

We also enjoyed delicious smash burgers courtesy of Victor’s prowess at the grill, along with good beer, amazing company and decent weather.

Stout was the breakout star of the day and remains the best boy.  If he could talk he would have endorsed our Breaking Biscuits. 🦴

Many thanks to our cheering section for showing up and showing out. It truly made an already fun day truly awesome. 

Can't wait for the tasting party! 🍻

Watch out, Laura's got a new paddle and she ain't afraid to use it. Oh my! 😱

This past weekend we brewed our biggest beer to-date since having gone all-grain, attempting a clone of our seasonal favorite, Wake-n-Bake by

And when I say big I'm talking a whopping (for a 10 gallon pot) 19 lbs of grain to produce this ~9.4 ABV beast. Extremely grateful for the pully system.

While imitation may be the sincerest form of flattery, I simply hope to call it worthy.

Brew day! Today a not so Black IPA? 😂

Judging by the numbers we had good efficency in the mash, resulting in a 1.071 OG; was expecting 1.067 so a modest improvement.

Will know more in a few weeks.
