Nine years ago, I met Benny after he’d been abandoned at a farm I moved into in southern Indiana, just outside Louisville. We’ve been together ever since. ❤️
Recently, I was lucky enough to connect with his original owner’s mom, who shared a puppy photo with me—and I finally learned exactly how old he is.
Here he is at just under a year old… and today at 14 years old. 🥹
Benny has been with me through so much, and I can’t imagine these last nine years without him.
If you’ve been waiting for a sign to adopt an older dog, this is it. They have so much love left to give. 🐾
