Grass Grazed Providing our customers local grassfed beef and pasture-raised pork, chicken and turkey.

We sell our sustainable, "clean" meats direct to customers via our markets and Meat Ups throughout central North Carolina. Located in Durham County, Grass Grazed is the passion of Derrick and Paige Jackson. As a prior military family we believe in being good stewards of our land while providing our customers (and ourselves) with wholesome, healthy and oh, so delicious food.

Cooking happens on the daily in our house. At times, I convince myself itā€™s simpler to handle everything alone. However, my kids seem to have a sixth sense for when Iā€™m about to start cooking, they always want to lend a hand. I often agree, but there are moments when Iā€™m rushed or exhausted, and I opt to decline their offer with a ā€˜not today.

Yā€™all I donā€™t know why but today, I glanced at my daughterā€™s lil hand and it brought a rush of memoriesā€”times where I pushed aside her eagerness to help.

This isnā€™t about guilt or needing time alone. Itā€™s a personal realization for me. As I observed my daughter, it struck me how much time has passed.
Iā€™m going to try to make most of the moments in the kitchen.
Cause babies donā€™t keep yā€™all. Thatā€™s all Iā€™m tryna say.šŸ˜©šŸ«

The new year is approaching which means a lot of decluttering. Iā€™m starting with my wardrobe. My goal is to reclaim the with a practical wardrobe that is a mixture of all the things.

Am I going to the milk a cow, paint a picture ,go the library, play frisbee, grab coffee??

All the above.

Ima be cute too.
I want to paint my nails, do my hair and wear the black dress.

I use to believe I had to pick a side.

This year Iā€™m holding space for all of it.

Iā€™m making up new rules this year starting with feeling good, confident and getting stuff done.
