Fill the freezer for summer smoking!

Career demands are pulling us away from the place we built for forever.

- 12 lightly wooded acres, irrigated, fenced and cross fenced.
- 2 miners’ inches of gravity fed NID water, AND a year round creek
- trees, berries, raised beds
- 3/2 house, recently remodeled
- separate 2 car, 2 story shop / barn
- covered hay storage
- 12x24 livestock shelter
- automatic double gates down the driveway

Literally a turnkey farm.

The very last 2.5 pasture pigs are almost ready for the truck. After this; we’ll just raise a couple for our own consumption- the breedstock is gone and we’re moving to be closer to my primary work.

Last chance if you want a half or whole.

How we treat livestock matters

05/11/2026

Seven more pigs were slaughtered in the pasture this morning.

We love that our pigs never know a moment of fear. They don’t ride a truck to a concrete and metal holding pen, don’t get forced down a chute to face an electric shock or gassed in CO2 rooms.

Nope. Another morning just like the others. Note the complete lack of reaction by any of the others; they never know when their time comes.

This is livestock raised humanely.

Last 4 pastured hogs looking for a spot in someone’s freezer.

- Bred, born, raised all in open woodland paddocks; they never see confinement or the inside of a truck.
- Fed from Briar Patch produce with a steady ration of Bar Ale non-gmo, wheat based (no corn) feed.
- Halves or wholes available, all you have to do is tell the butcher how your preferences (roasts or chops, bone in or out, etc).

All in costs competitive to the grocery store, while the meat quality is incomparable.

For the older ones, nearing 7.5 mos of age, their last few days are upon us.

We have enjoyed them, and allowed them to be pigs living a wonderful life.

Thank you to those who help by enjoying our internally seasoned pork !!

One last market size (270 #) pig looking for a nice cold place to spend the summer (I.e., a freezer).

Bred here and born here from a GOS boar and a Hamp/Berk sow. Raised on rotating pastures, fed Briar Patch discards and a wheat (not corn) based non-gmo grain. They’ll end their lives here and be taken to Country Butcher who will custom cut/wrap to your specifications.

Probably one of our last litters; taking a job out of town so we’ll be shutting down the active breeding operation.

But wanted to share two key things…
1. Temperament matters. Folks who fear their sows have bad sows.
2. Farrowing crates are inhuman. THIS solves the same problem but no one is constrained
