Egg-ceptionally Good Eggs

After much prayerful consideration, Richard and I have decided together with Jacob that he will discontinue Egg-Ceptionally Good Eggs for the time being. I am very satisfied with what started as a home-school "project" for both Jacob and Daniel. It provided real life and practical experiences for their development. We enjoyed spending time together learning about accounting, marketing, social networking, profits and losses, composting, gardening and most of all, getting to know and provide delicious eggs to our very faithful customers. It has been a joy to see the growth in both our children not only in how they cared for all aspects of the business, chickens included, but even how they cared for and served others as well. There is no doubt in my mind that hard work and lots of responsibility helps to shape the character of kids of all ages. I am very grateful to those of you who supported the boys and encouraged them with your purchases.

We are excited about the future as we focus our education and energy in another direction - keeping with an attitude of service to others. I am so happy to have the opportunity to learn right alongside our children as they grow and develop their own interests. I know that the lessons learned through Egg-Ceptionally Good Eggs will stay with them for the rest of their lives and will manifest themselves in all their future endeavors.

We would love to encourage you to explore getting a small flock of chickens for your own family. 3-5 chickens are easy to maintain and will keep your family supplied with delicious eggs that you can share with family and friends. We will probably find a family who would like to inherit all of our chickens but we're also willing to give them away in smaller batches. Chickens are much quieter than dogs. If your family is considering but has questions about keeping chickens feel free to call me. I'd be happy to answer any questions.

It would be a real encouragement to the boys if you could leave a note/message for them regarding your experience with Egg-Ceptionally Good Eggs.

We would really love some help. I'm having a hard time keeping up with the demand of my chickens and need more egg cartons. We would love some more, clean, empty egg cartons if you have them. We also recycle those lovely red, white and blue tote bags and double yolker gift boxes. We currently have only 2 dozen for sale.

We have 7 dozen eggs for sale. We also need clean egg cartons. Thanks to all those who have saved cartons for us. We can only use "dozen" cartons. Thanks for your help.

First order of business.....we have 4 dozen eggs for sale. 2nd order of business...Daniel had another wiggly tooth extraction adventure. He has another wiggly tooth......what shall we do with it?
