Hello ladies and gentlemen. I wanted to remind you that it is September, which is the childhood cancer awareness month. My daughter made this song for my little angel Emmie Pie. This song was so relevant because we do indeed leave the music playing low at night, and my daughter believes that Emilye and her friends come down to dance to the music when night falls and humans go to rest. I appreciate her thinking of Emilye at this time of battle against the monster of cancer. I truly enjoy this song and hope you guys enjoy it too.

Hi everyone! Thank you all so much for your support on our post yesterday, your kind words mean so so much. We have an idea for our Emmie angel wings in order to honor any other losses in the community as well. Check it out:

Anytime starting now, if you’d like to: bring in a photo of your lost loved one to add to our “angel wall.” No other information necessary, unless you’d like to add a note, name, etc. We want to honor all the sweet angels taken too soon in this community, and we’d love to have you all join us. No pressure though! We understand that loss and grief is a difficult sort of process, and if it’s not in your cards right now, that’s perfectly okay too. You have our support🫶🏼🪽

Good morning, Happy SEPTEMBER!🧡
This is a very special, bittersweet month for us at Darla Sue’s, so sit back and join us in our special month.

September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. This is an incredibly important month for Darla. For those of you that don’t know, Darla lost her sweet daughter Emmie to childhood cancer just about 14 years ago. We honor her legacy every single day in this bakery, from the wings on the wall, to the music we leave on at night for a special Emmie dance party. Needless to say, this month is a heavy one, and we’re looking to make some children’s treatment just a little bit sweeter. All month long, we will have a jar for donations to Mary Bridge Pediatric Oncology. We are going to reach out to individual families to see how we can help. No child should have to face cancer at all, let alone without some comfort and support.

With that said, we will be featuring specials all month long to honor sweet Emmie, so stay tuned! Thank you all for being here and supporting this small business. It means the world to us! We’ll see y’all soon✨🥖

Darla is all set up at Yelm Farm and Pet for their customer appreciation day!! A great way to support several small businesses all in one spot! She’ll be there until 3:00 PM today, and the shop is open until 6:30. Lots of fresh baked bread, ooey gooey cinnamon rolls, cookies, and more! We’ll see y’all soon!

Alrighty folks, we have a whoopsie to share on our end, and we’d like to update you all on how we plan to fix it. Our cinnamon rolls that you all love? We messed up. A few weeks ago, we tried one that just seemed like it was too sugary. So we cut back a little bit on the filling. Y’all are some serious connoisseurs of Darla Sue’s Cinnamon Rolls though, and we’ve heard some reviews that all the delicious gooey caramel at the bottom was missing. That is not what we want out of our tried and true cinnamon rolls, and it’s not what we want to be serving our customers either. SO, we’re putting all that yummy brown sugar and cinnamon back into them. The cinnamon rolls that you all fell in love with are BACK and here to stay! We are so so sorry for anyone who might’ve gotten a cinnamon roll lately and it wasn’t up to par. This one’s on us, we own it 1000%, and we’re going back to our OG cinnamon roll recipe. We value your feedback on our products, and we truly appreciate every single one of you who has continued to support us. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Good morning everyone! The weather seems to be changing again, and we’ll take that as an excuse to start baking up some fall treats!!

Introducing our all new Apple spice scone. A classic, flaky scone filled with fresh diced apples, warm baking spices, and topped with a sweet cinnamon glaze. Come try one out today! We’ve got lots more in store for the cooler months, you definitely don’t want to miss out!
