Wilcox Farms

Wilcox Farms Pasture-raised eggs from our fifth-generation family farm in Roy, WA. Since 1909, we've raised hens with care and integrity: free to roam, forage, and thrive.

Better for the hens, better for the land, and better for your family. Wilcox Family Farms is a 100-year-old farm that sits on 1,700 acres of sustainable farmland along the Nisqually River in the foothills of Mt Rainier. In 1909, Judson and Elizabeth Wilcox set out to build a family business and ultimately a lifelong legacy. Since its beginnings, Wilcox Farms has been known for supplying high quali

Cooking is always better with family. ❤️

Katie and Maddie, fifth-generation members of the Wilcox family, are back in the kitchen making huevos rancheros with our Organic Free-Range Omega-3 eggs. Crispy tortillas, black beans, fresh pico de gallo, cilantro, and perfectly cooked eggs come together for a breakfast that's as fun to make as it is to eat.

We'd love to know 👉 What should the cousins cook next??

Jud Wilcox. As soon as he was tall enough to reach the tractor, he was putting in the work. From letting the hens out at sunrise to hauling hay to the cows, growing up on the Wilcox farm meant learning early, working hard, and never being far from family.

That's what this place is built on. And the next generation is carrying it forward.

It's National Chicken Month, and we couldn't be more proud. 🐓

For over a century, our hens have been at the heart of everything we do at Wilcox Farms. Here's to the ladies who make it all possible.

Good stewardship isn't just about having enough. It's about making sure nothing goes to waste. 🌿

From managing how our hens impact the land, to treating and reapplying water as fertilizer, to building up soil health that retains more water and carbon over time. Every piece of this puzzle helps us build a more resilient ecosystem right here on the farm.

This is the kind of farming we want to be known for.

A hen's day is anything but boring! ☀️ They're naturally curious and stay busy scratching, foraging, exploring, and socializing with the rest of the flock.

Life on the farm keeps them active from sunrise to sunset.

Did you know? 🐓 The phrase "pecking order" actually comes from chickens!

Every flock naturally develops a social order that helps keep things running smoothly. It's just one of the many fascinating behaviors you'll notice when you spend time watching hens on the farm.

Some recipes are passed down. Some are reinvented. This one is a little of both!

Today, Maddie and Katie show us their go-to breakfast sandwich. Creamy egg salad on thick-cut toasted sourdough, topped with a fried Wilcox Organic Omega-3 egg and fresh chives. Each egg packs 225mg of omega-3s, so it's as good for your family as it tastes.

Chickens are natural foragers. 🌿 Give them a patch of fresh pasture, and they'll spend the day scratching through the grass in search of bugs, seeds, worms, and plants. It's one of the reasons we move our Mobile Pasture hens to fresh pastures, giving them new ground to explore and do what comes naturally!
