Well… another 1st in the books! Grace and I had our very first A rated dressage show today, taking a 3rd in Training Level 1 and a 2nd in Intro B.

Other firsts were no ear plugs (not allowed) which makes things challenging for a noise-sensitive horse and also first time riding in a covered arena (spooooooky!). Oh and she was also in full blown standing heat thanks to recent breeding schedules (mare owners understand this challenge 😂).

We had some really nice moments today and of course always lots to work on. Overall I am really, really proud of my baby girl! 💕

Seriously exciting news to share!!! We are expecting!

Grace has been bred to the stunning polish warmblood Kiss Of Gold-J!

We are expecting a baby next year via surrogacy - Glimmer whom I purchased a couple of months ago for this purpose, had Grace’s embryo transferred into her last week and today’s 14 day check shows the highly hoped for “black dot” which is the embryo implanted into Glimmer!

Heartbeat check is in 2 weeks… 🤞🙏🤞🙏

Poppy freshened with this pretty little chocolate with white doeling yesterday.

She did great, kidded all by herself. I came home to a dry, happy and VERY vocal little brown eyed baby girl.

In other news, 3 goat babies got disbudded this morning. 2 others were lucky in being born polled. 🤣

Deadpool and Tofu welcomed twin cou blanc babies this morning! A doeling and a buckling. 🥰

Even untrained and somewhat feral… he’s still such a sweet guy. Farrier loved him!

Busy morning on the farm!

Noah got his annual vaccine (let’s see how long it takes for him to forgive me 😂).

Chickens got fresh straw and grass clippings from mowing the goat pen. I find it absolutely ironic I have to MOW the grass in the goat pen… useless ingrates. 🙄

3 goats got blood draws for pregnancy testing. Fingers crossed for some Deadpool babies! 🙏🤞🙏🤞

Oh and my ankles got chewed up by fire ants. 🤣
