Our last bull for the Emmons sale is a special one for many reasons. Number one this was a mating Bruce Robbins wanted us to make pretty bad. I didn’t even know I bought the CF Sugar Britches semen. He called me told me I had bought it and that I was breeding 860 to it. Bruce meant a lot to me. He was there when I was 14 years old and bought our first Beefmaster and he’s been around and heavily involved the last 10 years. Second reason is 860 is arguably one of the best black beefmasters that’s ever lived and this is the last 860 Son or Daughter that will ever sale. There are no embryos and she passed away at 19 years old this past summer. 860 has left her mark not only on our farm but a lot of people I can hear Bruce on the video say “I think I would!” we have had some questions about scan data. There is scan data, but something was wrong in the computer system and they are getting that corrected and it should be available by tomorrow afternoon.
