As if farming isn't hard enough, some a$$hole decided to blow a donut in some of the first nice grass (hay) we have had all year. Yes, I cried and cursed 🤬 😢 🤬 and I will again when we have to beat up the equipment driving through those deep ruts to harvest the hay. And again when my already overworked, overtired husband has to spend time and resources to repair the damage.🤬😢🤬

To the perp....may you choke on your imported meat scraps....🤬

We start our third trip through the rotation. This pasture has had 48 days rest...and while we are still under abnormally dry conditions, it seems maybe the weather may be turning in our favor. 🤞🙏

I think my favorite color is "green grass" 💚

Beautiful nuisance.

While I love to admire their artwork, we need to remain alert this time of year. It is not unusual to stumble across these on the edge of the hayfields or along the fenceline in the pastures. If you see us running through the field, know that we are not just out to enjoy the endorphins.

WHERE DOES YOUR MEAT COME FROM? I personally am leary of this attempt to save the consumers a few bucks by bringing in meat scraps from other countries to grind in the USA. How far did it travel? Under what conditions? How many animals are ground into that burger? How were they raised? (Do you reaize that most of the ground beef you get in the grocery stores is likely a combination of cull animals....older, non performing, injured or difficult keepers?)...and why is it bright pink???

At Divoll's Farm we offer TRULY LOCAL born, raised and USDA processed beef and pork. Our animals are born, humanely raised and humanely processed all within a 25 mile radius of our home base. We do not buy at auction. 90 percent are born from our herd. If they are not born on one of our farms, they are consciously purchased from other local farmers who we know to follow the same humane treatment and care protocols as we do. The ground (beef and pork) is from one animal alone, not scraps from many. There are no added fillers. We do not dictate the fat content, it is straight up from the one animal alone (majority of our ground beef is 85 to 90 percent lean). I can tell you exactly where each cut of beef came from...which animal, where it was born and exactly how it was raised. I can very likely introduce you to its mother.

We sell the majority by wholes, halves and quarters. We do try to keep a limited inventory as well. We did stock up this summer for market, but have not been able to attend yet. Below are some pictures of some of our gorgeous steaks. I would love to put a bundle together for you.

Send a PM if you would like to see how we can help you fill your freezer with truly local, clean meats. In fact, drop a comment below, let us know....what would you like to see in a meat bundle? Are there specific cuts, quantity or price point that would work best? Would you be interested in a monthly or quarterly meat subscription? Let us know!

Just a tad out of my comfort zone. The view is amazing, but driving the Freighliner on this hill (or anything for that matter) is a bit unnerving.
