Five months ‘til Christmas !? You better believe it’s on our minds year-round. Trees received an extra drink in this latest heat spell.

Today’s after-work adventure? Cone picking! While some people are picking strawberries, I’m working on giving the Christmas trees a boost by removing their cones. This will redirect their energy into branch and root growth versus seed development. The over-achiever this evening was a 5-footer with 29 cones! Quite impressive.
