Buck Run Ranch is an approximately 40 acre small farm and ranch nestled in Big Hollow Canyon of the Stansbury Mountains near Rush Valley, UT.

An early spring storm brought with it an unexpected visitor who found our hens that have a tom of their own. First wild tom in our years here, but often wild hens stop by to visit our tom.

The new feeder is a hit with the goats and has drastically cut down on waste. Originally used as a horse feeder, the hubby took out 2-3 feet of length to make it shorter for the goats and welded the metal back together.

This year we’ve had an abundance of sunflowers and it has been absolutely beautiful. captured these amazing photos of the cows earlier this summer. ❤️

Absolutely love the mammoth sunflowers!! As a reference, the fence around the garden is 6 feet tall making the tallest sunflower 8 feet tall! Can’t wait to plant even more next year. 🌻❤️

Howdy folks!! Sorry I haven’t been around much lately. The summer was filled with three separate work trips and also a vacation back home so I got behind on posting pictures!

These pictures were taken back in June when a storm rolled through. Mother Nature sure did put on a beautiful show that night.

Fun Fact: Gopher snakes when threatened will take a striking position, flatten their heads, hiss, and rustle their tails to mimic a rattlesnake.

This is exactly what this fellow was doing over the weekend when I walked by him. At first glance, I thought he was a rattlesnake but quickly realized he wasn’t. We went our separate ways and I hoped he had a better, less grumpy day. 😂
