DRAT Farm We raise steers using rotational grazing practices which improves the soil, sequesters carbon and produces awesome beef!

DRAT Farm is offering beef quarters, halves and wholes this November; quarters and halves at $3/lb and wholes at $2.90/lb (hanging weight). They will be processed by Pete's Meats in Lewiston, MN which requires a $140 processing Fee. We have 5 steers ( two are Low Line Angus and three are Belted Galloways) who are moved twice per day in order to maximize our pasture's feed value and to build our soil. We use a solar powered electric fence system to create new paddocks on a daily basis with ease! A typical quarter will give you:
Steaks: 3-4 Sirloin, 6-8 T-Bone, 6-8 Ribeye, 3lb Sirloin Tips,
Roasts: 6-9lb Round Steak Roast, 3lb Rump Roast, 2 3lb Arm Roast, 3-5 3lb Chuck Roast
Ground Beef: 40lbs or more! Etc: 3-4 packages of Short Ribs, 3-4 packages of soup bones, Tallow

Our best guess for finishing hanging weight is 158 for a quarter, 315 for a half and 630 for a whole
