Another sign of spring! This time from Ian over at the orchard. Ian has recently finished pruning and mulched the trimmings- a big late winter accomplish crossed off the list. Soon the trees will be blooming and with that comes flower thinning and then getting a jump on pest and disease management. 🍎

Sign-up is officially live for Featherstone pork! Like last year, we are only offering whole hogs for our November delivery dates, however we have a SURPRISE option for a very few MAY pigs. That’s right- we’ve been raising a few winter pigs and they are almost ready!

For the May delivered pigs we are considering offering half hog options.

If you are interest in a whole or half this May, please e-mail [email protected] and we will reach out with details.

March 30 marks the first day of field work for the 2026 season! Chisel plowing opens up the soil we hope to plant early so it can breathe and will dry out quicker after a little rain later this week. We’ve started hardening off our first transplants so they’ll be ready to plant as soon as we get some beds made! 🥬 🥬

We made a little progress cleaning up the winter tunnels this morning with the whole crew! Despite the fresh blanket of snow, we’re planning for spring and there’s a lot of work to do to prepare for seeding and planting. Our high tunnels need to be cleaned up and refreshed for planting SPRING CSA crops the first week of April!
