Hi everyone!

We recently got back from a quick trip to Chicago and I wanted to hop on and give everyone an update.

This farm season has been so busy and wonderful in so many ways. That being said, next year I will likely be restructuring the business towards selling exclusively to florists (and the occasional wedding). It’s hard to express how grateful I am for everyone’s support, but to be honest it’s been a bit overwhelming.

Selling exclusively to florists will open up time for me to actually be a SAHM again. I love growing flowers SO much, but Haven will only be little for a very short time, and I’m not willing to give up that time for the sake of flower farming. I am lucky enough to get to stay home with her, and I want to take advantage of that as much as I can. I am a flower farmer, but I am a mom first. Always.

Things are always blooming so I’m sure I’ll have more in the next few days but for the next day or two I’ll be catching up on everything that gets neglected when I’m busy with flowers (like my poor house😅).

Hi friends🌸

It’s been a little while, so I thought I’d reintroduce myself.

I’m Jessie. In 2021, a couple of close friends and I started this farm, mostly selling veggie starts, houseplants, and the occasional flower bouquet here and there. We were figuring it out as we went, but we loved every bit of it.

In 2023, I took over and started pouring all my energy into cut flowers (and some houseplants). I had been reading everything I could about cut flowers the for last several years and finally felt confident enough to take the leap. It’s been a learning curve, but definitely a beautiful one.

Outside of the farm, my most important job is being a mom. My daughter is my whole world, and flower farming lets me be home with her while still building something I’m proud of. It lets me work with my hands, spend time in the sun, and stay at home with my girl. Every flower I sell helps me do that.

When you support Bottleneck, you’re not just buying flowers. You’re supporting a SAHM chasing a wild little dream in the in-between moments- during nap time, snack time, and everything in between.
