March 2025 Bee Packages for sale!

Dixie Sweet is offering our beekeeping friends bee packages and/or additional queens ready for pickup in March 2025. We are pleased to offer the same high-quality bee packages formerly provided by T&A Bee Farm.

The number of Bee Packages is limited so orders will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Bee Packages will contain 3 lbs. of bees (roughly 10,000 bees) plus a "marked" queen. (This is the first year to offer marked queens.)
The cost for each bee package is $155.

Need an extra queen? We can order them for you, but they will be "unmarked". The cost of each additional queen is $40

As many of you know I have decided it is time for me to move back to Missouri where my family lives (where I lived until 18 years ago).
I have drastically reduced my bee operation and have plenty of various equipment left to sell. New and used!! Much more than photoed!!
I will sell individually or all together.
It all needs to go as I plan be moved by October 1st.

I met Mr. Carl years ago at the Alabama State Conference. Wonderful man! I will miss our annual chats!

Updated: Funeral arrangements-Visitation will be at Kilgore Funeral Home, 1750 Ashville Rd, Leeds, AL 35094 Wed. Sept 13, 2023 5-7pm and Funeral Thurs., Sept 14, 2023 1-2pm First Baptist Church Vincent, 15 Waite St, Vincent, AL 35178. The Association will be providing flowers.

The oldest beekeeper in Alabama, Mr. Carlton Bearden, passed away last night. He was a fixture among beekeepers in the state of Alabama and you could always count on seeing him at the state conference each year. You were indeed blessed if you were fortunate enough to have met him.
