The Family Farm consists of Five Generations. When first opened Russell grew row crops, cattle, hogs, and to***co. Today the farm consist of fresh produce, an orchard, beehives, to***co, cattle, and goats. Today the farm has 15 acres of produce, 4 greenhouses, and a garden with several raised beds.

7 acre orchard full of peach, apple, and pear trees. Also a wide variety of berries.

We were honored to have Bethel University Renaissance Bluegrass Band as our entertainment last night at the Farm to Fork Dinner. These kids are super talented! And…we might add very polite and thankful. We enjoyed having them on the farm with us for the afternoon and evening. They rolled with the punches of the unexpected rain shower, set up equipment twice and smiled the whole time.

Took out a few minutes from picking vegetables this morning to go get Everett at school today. All the way home this is what he was saying 😍🇺🇸

Getting ready for our Farm To Fork dinner today. There was 11 family members cooking , cleaning , running errands what ever needed to be done. I was going to the field to get some squash for the arrangement for the tables. 👀 there was Everett ,he told me he was thankful for the rain and I am to 😂🤣💦🌽🍉🥒❣️

After a long day at work we come home to work some more. Come see us tomorrow for a delicious cantaloupe.🍈

Our Story

Poore's Nursery was opened in 1960 By Russell Poore. The family farm consists of five generations. Our farm thrives on family and helping our community. On any given day you will more than likely find us in the field, greenhouse, or orchard working and see any of our 9 great-grandchildren running around helping! Today the farm consists of fresh produce, an orchard, beehives, to***co, cattle, chickens, and hogs.We have 15 acres of produce, 4 greenhouses, and a large garden with several raised beds.The farm has a 7 acre orchard full of peach, apple, and pear trees as well as a wide variety of berries. We also raise 7+ acres of to***co, greens, and butternut squash managed by Bradford Hall, Russell’s Grandson.

Everyone in our family plays a vital roll in making our farm successful. We belive that living and working on a farm brings our family closer together and builds great character and work ethic.
