Putting the tractor to use, digging potatoes. Garden vs two bag potatoes.

The farm stand is stocked with veggies. Pesticide free. Wingo wonder tomatoes on the left. Allen yellows on the right. More traditional reds in the middle. I couple of green ones if you need to make fried green tomatoes. No peppers today. We currently have basil, mint and dill. Will have cilantro, and cat nip soon. Let me know it you want to pick up so they are fresh.

My bym Americana and Isa brown project chicken has grown up and went straight broody. This one’s eggs are more blue than green.

I was pulling weeds and got scared by this bunch of feathers. My first reaction was is that a dead chicken? I don’t smell death! I touched her and she looked up. I picked her up to examine her. Under her is about 15 eggs. I put her back and got her food and water. I have no idea how long she has been there.

We worked on the landscape today between rains. I have added some new perennials. Excited to see the 90% off plants survive.

A lovely family gave us 6 pullets today. Speckled Sussex and Australorp. They are fitting in well!
