Hello Everyone!

So we're trying to do something here at the farm and get started and we'd really like your help.

We are working on creating a 24/7 livestream of our animals as a family friendly way of having people connect and learn about them. and how they behave. We are doing this with the intent of creating a stream that boasts Animal ASMR, Nature ASMR and Visual ASMR and are hoping that this brings a sense of peace to individuals watching.

While we're in the beginning stages (we're working on adding more cameras for better viewing) we do have a stream up and available on Twitch and are currently attempting to also stream to YouTube in the near future as well.

If you would like to help us out in our adventure, please follow us on our Twitch channel. We really would appreciate the views and the follows.

I cannot recommend Jake West Farrier Service, LLC enough. We had a WONDERFUL experience with him and absolutely love his willingness to work and to teach.
Jake was so caring and kind to our rather touchy Belgian draft who can be a bit on the picky side with his feet. The first thing Jake did was to love on Henry and take time to calm him down and have him relax. He never once forced Henry or made him uncomfortable, instead he actually made sure that Henry had breaks, was able to put his foot down and rest and then picked right back up. He didn't give up when Henry was being a pain and just instead stopped, loved on him and spoke to him in a really calm and collected manner and gathered Henry's trust.
Jake really went the extra mile with our big boy and I feel like by the end of the whole process he really had developed a connection with Henry.
I honestly am just so impressed with Jake's work and the way that he took his time, didn't rush and made sure that my big boy was comfortable. If you are ever in need of a Farrier a horseman and understands horses call Jake.

Both Henry and Ranger were seen by our vet today, "Falling River Large Animal Services" and let me tell you both of them were the bestest boys during their checkup. They stand so quietly and are such well behaved gentlemen that we didn't even need to have them in crossties during the exam.

Both of them are strong, sound and well rounded and are extremely healthy. Our vet stated that had he not checked their teeth he wouldn't have placed them at 15 and 14 years old, they seem so much younger than they are.

We couldn't be happier with these boys and we love them so much. Both of them are just a blessing and are so wonderful.

If anyone is looking for a draft horse, or a draft cross we highly recommend that you check out Draft Horse Placement and the horses that they have. Both of our boys are so wonderful. They are very upfront and honest about the horse, its medical history, their temperament and what the horse is able to do. They are literally a blessing and made purchasing these two boys easy and great and even have been so responsive to questions that we had after our purchase. We DEFINATELY will be coming back to purchase more horses from them in the future. We cannot recommend them enough.

Lord Waffleton and Mrs. Buttersworth are getting bigger by the day and had begun to attempt to test our fencing in their enclosure. After many failed attempts to teach them to leave it alone, I had to resort to stringing and utilizing electric fencing.

I had never installed electric fencing before and was fully expecting it to be a struggle, however, the polywire stringing was really easy and using the energizer was super simple as well. After installing my grounding rod, running my ground wire to it and then attaching my fence wire, everything was up in running. Installation took me about an hour and a half, mostly because Buttersworth kept trying to play with my polywire roll as I was stringing it.

The pigs have now learned that there is a ouchie barrier that runs along the bottom of the fence now and have now began to leave it alone after both of them recieved several shocks to their little noses and rumps.

I'm stoked that now the fence is being respected and I'm hoping that this will be all they need to ensure that they no longer try and test the enclosure.

The girls have completely stopped laying as of now and we are working on their time for more eggs in the Spring. Nugget was our star girl and didn't fully stop laying until last week, although we're happy that she's giving herself a break to focus fully on her molt. We currently have a flock of 5 freeloaders.

Tender has finally completed her molt and is now fully feathered and looking better than ever. Her beard is as glorious as ever and she's looking much happier and fluffier too.

Our four girls (Tender, Butter, Nugget and Blu) started laying around the beginning of February this past year so we're curious to see if they start laying around the same time in 2024. Peroro is our newest girl and hasn't laid yet so we'll get to see her egg colors this year too.
