I didn’t think about filming, editing, posting or captions not once. And it was so nice and such a little refresh!

It did make me miss this community I’ve built and yall know I missed my garden! All of the rain Louisiana has been getting has been good for her! ❤️

Memorial Day, a time to remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

While most enjoy this long weekend, hit the water, and BBQ, for some it is a painful reminder of who they’ve lost.

I highly encourage you to get to know these families, and help support them where you can. Look for local Blue Star and Gold Star chapters in your area. Blue star mothers are mothers of service members, they help the communities and they support the Gold Star mothers, who are mothers who have lost a child in the line of duty.

Every May, over 11,000 flags are planted at Louisiana’s state capitol to honor those soldiers. We hike from LSU to the capitol to bring the flags to those mothers and families. Then sometime in June, the mothers take them all down.
A harrowing reminder of our brothers and sisters who never made it home. 🇺🇸

Mine was just walking around the garden with the kiddos. We saw just how much the rain helped things flourish! As always, I’m so thankful for this life.

Making some tea for me and Shugg before we pick a movie to relax. Yall got any recommendations? (11 year old friendly please)
