Chaix Family Vineyards occupy a 40-acre chunk of the world-famous Rutherford bench, a sedimentary deposit of soils known to produce remarkable Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Over the last 100 years, Chaix grapes have gone into making many of Napa's most distinguished wines. In 2008, we harvested a ton of grapes for ourselves to produce the first vintage of Chaix Wines Cabernet.
