Excellent wine. Great cause. One very special night.

On September 26, Annika Honig will be joining more than 30 Napa Valley vintners and winemakers at the 30th annual Cabernet for Connoisseurs, benefiting Family House.

For more than 40 years, Family House has provided a completely free home away from home for families whose children are undergoing treatment for cancer and other life-threatening illnesses at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. Today, they can welcome up to 84 families every night, 365 days a year, all supported entirely by the generosity of the community.

Cabernet for Connoisseurs has raised an incredible $20 million for Family House since its inception, and we’re proud to raise a glass and be part of this year’s event.

Did you know today is a very important holiday? It's National Red Wine Day!

While people have been making and drinking red wine for thousands of years, National Red Wine Day didn’t come along until 2014, when it was created by writer and wine lover Jace Shoemaker-Galloway.

Why August 28? Right about the time grapes are ripening, harvest is getting underway, and apparently the world collectively decides it’s time to start thinking red again.

Around here, we never stop drinking red, but we'll always support the holiday! Cheers!

“It’s hard to be a diamond in a rhinestone world.”

We think we can all agree that the world feels a little less sparkly today.

Dolly was a true diamond. She never forgot where she came from, she loved her family fiercely, and she believed deeply in giving back.

Family is at the heart of Honig, and giving back has always been an important part of who we are. In honor of Dolly and all the good she put into the world, through the end of September, Honig will donate 50% of all tasting room fees to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

In 1995 she created the Imagination Library in honor of her father to give children the opportunity to fall in love with books and reading. Since its founding, it has sent out over 332 million books to children all over the world for free.

So come raise a glass with us to a true diamond and help us keep a little of her good going.

Here’s to Dolly. May we all leave a little sparkle behind.

On International Dog Day, Honig’s tasting room is going to the dogs because at Honig, bringing your dog along for a wine tasting is not only allowed, but encouraged.

They can’t drink the wine.
They can’t buy the wine.
They contribute absolutely nothing to the check.

But they CAN pose for the photobooth.

Some people have been here 5 years. Some 10. Some 25. And one has been putting up with us for **30 YEARS.** 🥂

Today we’re celebrating a few of the people who make Honig, well, Honig. From the vineyard and cellar to the tasting room and everything in between, we’re incredibly lucky to have a team with this much talent, dedication and staying power.

The blessing of the grape. Singular. 🍇

We knew yields were looking a little low this vintage, but we didn’t realize it had come to this. 😆

But don't worry! What the 2026 vintage may lack in quantity, it'll more than make up for in quality. And this grape? Officially blessed and ready to overachieve.
