Found the tiniest little Eastern Box Turtle in the chicken coop! 🐒πŸ₯Ή Thankfully I spotted this little cutie and moved him somewhere safer before the girls got too curious. Farm life always comes with surprises! πŸ’šπŸ” 🐒

You know you live in the country when the electric company comes out and you point across the property and say, β€œYep, we need the power run right over there... to the chicken coop.” πŸ˜‚πŸ”βš‘
The girls are officially on the grid! They already had free housing, catered meals, plenty of snacks, fresh air, and some pretty serious farm security. Now they have electricity too.
I’m starting to think we’re not raising chickens anymore. We’re running a tiny all-inclusive resort for freeloading feathered guests who occasionally pay their rent in eggs. πŸ₯š 🍳

Apparently I’ve reached the stage of chicken ownership where just feeding them isn’t entertaining enough. πŸ˜‚πŸ”
So now I’m encouraging them to play with their foodβ€”because enrichment is important…and because watching a flock of chickens lose their minds over snacks is my enrichment. 🀣
