We are incredibly grateful for our outstanding team of associates, student volunteers, and staff members who make this work possible. Their passion, dedication, and heart for our community help us provide hundreds of weekly meal bundles to children ages 18 and under. Because of them, we’re making a real difference every single day!

We look forward to seeing you all again next week, on Wednesday, June 24th, between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Please pick up meals from the location you have previously registered for.

Summer break shouldn't mean a break from good nutrition! Our teams are proud to help families keep kids fueled with healthy, kid-approved meal solutions all summer long.

Southeast Regional Dietitian Hayley Weise and Regional Executive Chef Imani Colclough visited Fox Carolina News to show how we're helping students stay connected to delicious, balanced meals even when school is out through fun, engaging programs like Foodie Fest and nutrition-forward resources.

We ❤️ seeing pictures of children enjoying our non-congregate summer feeding program, and we’re so proud of how our Chartwells K12 and Rutherford County Schools, NC school nutrition team are supporting families across the community in a truly meaningful way.

Yesterday, they distributed 7️⃣4️⃣0️⃣ take-home meal bundles to children 18 and under—each bundle carefully packed with 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches to help nourish children throughout the week.

In total, that’s ⭐️ 7,400 meals ⭐️– yes, you read that right! - all shared with care and compassion.

Moments like this and the picture below truly reflect the heart of our school nutrition team. Thank you to everyone who has helped make this program a success so far – we can’t wait to see what we achieve over the remainder of the summer.

THANK YOU to everyone who helped make the first week of our non-congregate summer feeding program a success!

⭐️ We are incredibly grateful for our Chartwells K12 and Rutherford County Schools, NC team members who are working hard to ensure every student has access to FREE meals throughout the summer.

⭐️ A HUGE thank you also goes to the amazing students and staff who volunteered their time to help our first week run smoothly. It was so special to see school staff and administrators reconnecting with students during summer break and continuing to make a positive impact in their lives!

⭐️ We would also like to thank Food Lion in Rutherfordton and Forest City for generously donating plastic bags to help package meals for distribution. Your support and commitment to the students and families in our communities is greatly appreciated.
