We got the pleasure of hosting a group of students from Georgia Tech today. This was the second group of tech students to come to the farm.

It was amazing to see research being done on the impact of development on local farms. The questions asked really sought to know the struggle of small farms in Georgia. The more knowledge about the damage PFAS cause the better off the consumer will be.

We look forward to their final work.

Does anyone know how to get Georgia Power to deliver wood chips.

We’ve asked several times. Wood chips make a great source of brown for the compost. The curcuit we are on is currently being cut daily.

Wood chips help us make the compost that we take to our partner schools.

The bed pictured is a hugelkultur bed we made with the compost.

It be a huge help to get some of the chips.

It's very disturbing to hear there will now be more PFAS on the market, particularly in chemicals geared towards agriculture which is already struggling with contamination from so many sources. PFAS are known to accumulate in proteins (meat, nuts, legumes,etc) that are passed on to consumers. We are so thankful that we passed our testing when PFASGA tested our farm this year so we know our products are as healthy as we can make them for our customers. We may be a little neurotic about vetting our hay suppliers and feed sources if we don't grow it ourself, but we think the extra time and effort is worth it for the healthiest, cleanest product we can grow.
