We had another arrival today! Foaling season was fast for us this year, only two little ones within four days. Our first was a C**t and our most recent was a Filly ❤️

Branding week has been one big adventure! We had some amazing friends visit which allowed us to play tourist for one day. Then we readied for the big day and fought weather the entire time (but NOT complaining about needed rain) 🌧 We are so appreciative of all the help and support with our crew who came to the ranch yesterday to assist in getting through the muddy slog and prepping our herd for summer 🙏

Branding Day ❤️

RANCHER’S PRAYER – BRANDING 2026

Lord,

We thank you for the beautiful calves blessed upon us this year. Despite the perfect weather, it was a difficult calving season filled with valued lessons.

Today, we ask you to protect our crew as they make their way to the ranch during early morning hours and as they travel back home after a long, exhausting day. Once the team arrives, please keep all our valued help safe and in good health throughout. If there are to be any issues, please leave all reminders at bruises only.

Bless our meal and the good company that will join as we celebrate the finality of Calving and welcome the start of Summer.

This winter has been unexpectedly dry and bodes for a hard year. As the herd makes its way to summer pasture in the days to come, please provide the needed moisture not only here, but also across our state and the rest of the nation as families slowly send their cattle out to graze for the season.

May the gathering be quick, the sorting easy, the branding seamless, and the meal plentiful. Thank you for your guidance throughout this important day.
