Humble Ridge Farm We are a starting our small farm with fresh produce and plenty of eggs.

We are looking forward to spring and the planting season and hope to offer jams, pickles and other baked goods.

Sorry about the delay in posts. But we are now in October and the pumpkins are picked, the garlic is going in soon and the new chicken finally started to lay, and lies of wood to continue to split, stack and bring in. Lots to do before winter sets in, but the autumn colors here in Maine are absolutely breathtaking!!!

Boy, it's been awhile since my last post. Asparagus is coming to an end. Seedlings are all in. Potatoes are starting to come up. Fences are being repaired and wood is finally all cut and split. It's been busy here in the ridge. Stay tuned for when vegetables start coming in.

Busy planting here in the ridge. We'll have about 40 pounds of potatoes planted and lots of other veggies.
With the high cost of produce and prices skyrocketing, if you are in need of food please reach out. Our eggs are only $2.50 a dozen and we can always barter.
Stay healthy, eat local!!!

Well, sitting should be right around the corner but today would make you think otherwise. Got Elderberry starting to root. Cleaning up outside and pruning the trees. Waiting on warmer weather. Hoping it will be soon.

Getting ready for the big storm tomorrow. Hunker down!! Lots of snow! Woods in, chickensA will be taken care of and snowblower ready to be fired up. When the weather breaks there will be snowshoeing here on the farm, and lots of sliding for the grandchildren. Stay safe everyone and don't go out if you don't need to.

Today is a bit snowy on the Ridge. We have about 2 inches of snow and a slight breeze. Eggs are still being produced at a good pace and already thinking about the sprintime and what delicious produce we will be planted. This year we are going to try to sell and hopefully get a roadside stand. Later on that.... have a good day everyone and thanks for following!

After all is said and done, we got about 5-6 inches of heavy snow. But just like that at 1:30pm, hard rain. By 2:30, the sun was breaking through the clouds and blue sky was peaking out. The ridge is my quiet now. Getting colder, wood stove on warm cups of tea.

Snow and ice hit the ridge today. Kept the fire going inside and stayed warm. Cold days coming up. We're are taking extra care of our chickens during the cold snap. Please keep your pets inside and don't leave them out for very long.
