Pep's Pure Maple Syrup Pep's Pure Maple Syrup is a small, family run, Maine maple producer. Our family has been making syrup Making maple syrup was started by my great grandfather.

He tore apart an old broken down building and saved the roof and used that as the first sugar shack. My great grandfather and family would crawl into this tiny crammed shack and all surround a small stainless steel pan that he would cook in. To collect the syrup they used small cans nailed to the trees. After the kids got out of school they would run home to find most of the cans overflowing. Afte

r many years spending hours and hours of work to yeild very little syrup my grandfather decided it was time to build a new shack. Not far from the roof, Pep built the second shack and also built a much larger, modern style, evaporator. The new system was so much faster than the old one. He started using sheetrock buckets to collect the sap. We used this shack until 2003 to make our liquid gold for just the family and close family friends. In 2011 we wanted to get back at producing and Pep decided that it was time to build a new shack and get new equiptment. So we bought a new evaporater, all new taps and lines, new food grade buckets, and everything else it takes to make maple syrup. In our first season with the new gear we produced 75 gallons of syrup, the most we've ever made. In 2012 we decided it was time to start selling our product. We are looking forward to what the future holds for us and we hope that you will love our syrup as much as we do.

Ok so you know how we said we had a record breaking single day ever, yesterday?!? 🍩

Today officially added to that and we have never seen people come out like this weekend.

We are so humbly, humbly thankful for each and every one of you. We are eternally grateful you chose to spend a part of your Maple Sunday with us- truly. 🍁

Our family collectively volunteer to make this weekend happen- and we all excitedly do it year after year because of the best customers in the game. 👏🏽

Also, anyone who stopped and bought a 🎟️ 50/50, a bracelet, or just donated to get our little advocate to DC: no words other than Thank you. The ticket owner was contacted! She officially raised enough to fly out and we will for sure be sharing that journey on here for you all to see. April 27-29 be on the look out- little people can be big advocates too 🫶🏽

It’s Maine Maple Sunday! Go check out local sugarers- go shack hopping! Every shack offers something different than the next- make a day of it.

WE HAVE DONUTS! The ONLY thing we are officially sold out of is our Maple Taffy- walnuts are very low but still a handful of bags.

Come say hi 🙂 9-2!

(No early birds please- our volunteers go without breakfast waiting to have a donut and when we start early none of us eat all day because the line doesn’t stop🤣😅)

The official housekeeping post for the weekend!

•Theme of the weekend: grace! It gets packed. Parking, line, waiting- show some grace and understand every person there “working” is a family member volunteer. Be nice.

•Specialty items: they’ll sell out. We cannot hold any because we dont have time to check our phones and we cannot guarantee any item because they will sell out. If you want your best bet come see us Saturday morning ☺️

•We accept cash or credit. 💵💳

•We have a porta potty. 🧻

•Donuts are available in singles, half dozen, or dozen. Half dozen and dozen does come with a to go box. 🍩

•Maple season is mud season- plan your shoes accordingly 🥾

Ode to de motherland 🫡

These maple cones are the ultimate Canadian sugar shack treat! These bad boys are the treats you get when you do bus tours around Quebec City to different shacks.

They’re straight sugar. They’re absolutely addictive. And even though you want more than one- we do not recommend consuming more than that 😅🫨
