Around here, stewardship means caring for the animals we raise… and sometimes the wild ones too.

This opossum survived an encounter with our guard dogs, spent the week recovering with good nutrition and a safe place to heal, and is now headed back to the woods. The boys made sure he got the full VIP treatment—including a tour of their bedroom before saying goodbye.

Sometimes the best lessons happen without planning them. Safe travels, little guy! 🍀

The piglets turned one week old! It’s been a blur of bottles, alarms, late-night feedings, and lots of piglet laundry, but we plow thru. Being a pig mom isn’t easy, but it’s meaningful work.
