🥃🔥 TWO BOTTLES WITH A LOT MORE BEHIND THE LABEL

🍁 Black Maple Hill Premium Small Batch — 95 Proof

This is interesting because Black Maple Hill is an old cult wh***ey label, not a distillery. The brand dates back to around 2000 and became particularly associated with sought-after sourced American wh***ey releases. In 2026, Rare Character revived the Black Maple Hill name, making the bottle in your photo part of the brand’s new era.

This particular release is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Wh***ey, bottled at 95 proof / 47.5% ABV. It’s a no-age-statement small batch—the producer emphasizes barrel selection rather than putting an age number on the bottle—and the actual distilling source is not disclosed, so I wouldn’t make up a distillery or mash bill in the caption. The label describes it as aged in select white oak casks, handmade sour mash and hand bottled.

⭐ Sam Houston Small Batch Reserve — 108 Proof

This one deserves more attention than I gave it. Sam Houston’s whole concept is genuinely tiny batches. The brand says each release records the individual bottle number, total bottle yield, batch number, number of barrels, barrel details, mash bill and distillation location specifically to show how small each release is.

It’s Kentucky Straight Bourbon Wh***ey at 108 proof / 54% ABV, and the profile is described around toasted grain, oak, vanilla, wood char, baking spice and honey warmth.

So this isn’t just another generic “small batch” label where hundreds of barrels might be blended together—the selling point is the micro-batch construction and individually identifiable releases.

Both just landed at Premium Liquor. If you’re into bottles with some history and releases that aren’t sitting on every shelf, these are worth checking out.

🥃🔥 THE NEW DROPS KEEP GETTING BETTER…

Some very interesting bottles just landed at Premium Liquor, including a few releases you definitely don’t see every day:

🚬 Penelope Cigar Sessions Chapter 02 — 117.4 proof / 58.7% ABV cask-strength American wh***ey. Chapter 02 uses a 69% corn / 19% rye / 12% malted barley mash bill, is non-chill filtered, and was specifically built as a rich, full-bodied wh***ey for cigar pairing.

🌲 Redwood Empire Colonel Armstrong Wheated Bourbon — one of Redwood Empire’s newer releases. The bottle neck shows a blend ranging from 4 to 14 years old, bringing together wheated bourbon with some serious age in the blend. Redwood Empire currently lists Colonel Armstrong in its lineup.

🍁 WhistlePig 12 Year Single Barrel Rye — Maple Crème Brûlée Cask — this one is wild. 12-year rye, 86 proof, finished in a Maple Crème Brûlée cask previously used to age WhistlePig’s Vermont maple syrup. Think maple, caramelized sugar, vanilla custard and rye spice. This is a limited-edition single-barrel release.

⭐ Garrison Brothers Cowboy Bourbon 2026 — this is the heavyweight of the drop. 141 PROOF, uncut, unfiltered and cask strength. Garrison Brothers produced only 16,000 bottles of the 2026 edition, with barrels hand-selected by Master Distiller Donnis Todd and aged at least eight years. MSRP is $249.99. This is absolutely a legitimate limited/allocated-style bottle.

That Cowboy is especially crazy because the 2026 nationwide retail release isn’t scheduled until October 1, after its September distillery release so having one on the shelf right now is worth highlighting.

🌾 Shortbarrel Rye 101 — 101 Proof
