Some of you may have noticed my mother's horses are gone.
Mom supported the Ives Berry Farm from before the start. She was with me pulling rocks and stumps when we first cleared the field. She mowed the rows when I couldn't be there. She was a big part of making Ives Berry Farm. More importantly, she was my mom.

Thanks for a great blueberry picking season. I hope you enjoy them for months to come.
I went out just now. The path to the field is marked by a few errant berries and flattened grass. The rows are quiet and empty of pickers.
Ives Berry Farm is closed for the season. I hope to see you next year.
