order up!
starting your own business is really scary. It is a roller coaster from the very beginning. motivation can come and go, the highs are high and the lows are low, and you own the responsibility for all of it.
you make decisions on very limited information, you make guesses and take bets, and some work out and some don’t.
i have a saying “if it doesn’t tank the business, it’s okay” because i have had to learn how to roll with the punches, really know my numbers top to bottom, be aware of everything that is happening, and just let life take care of the rest.
the other part of business is chance. or the universe or fate or whatever you wanna call it. you have to learn how to work with that too. the demand for your product, the supply chains for your ingredients, the weather,
and so much more are out of your control.
you also learn how to tell the difference between resistance, which tells you to go in another direction and a challenge which tells you to go through it in order to make it to the other side.
it’s definitely a journey, and some days i ask myself why i’m on it. but i know my heart and my soul need to be on this path. i crave the experience of creating, of building something, of taking a risk and learning from the outcome. i’m so grateful i have the resources and support to be able to do this.
and whether i fall flat on my face or succeed beyond my wildest dreams, i’m here for it. and a massive thank you to everyone who i’ve connected with along the way. as much as it can look like it from the outside, businesses are never one person shows.
