When your student grabs a school meal, they're doing more than fueling their day. Every meal taken helps us earn reimbursements that fund fresher, more delicious and more culturally relevant menus for all students.

Not feeling the full meal? No problem. Stop by our salad bar for a FREE piece of fruit, a veggie and a milk. Picky eaters and lunch-packers welcome!

More students at the line = better food for everyone.

Did you know? Over 60% of our entrées and sides are now freshly prepared, and we're still growing.

Less processed. More wholesome. Real food, made right here in our kitchen with local and seasonal ingredients.

But here's the secret: we need your student at the line to keep it going. Every meal taken helps fund the fresh, scratch-made food we love to serve. The more students who join us, the more we can grow.

Come hungry. We saved you a seat!

Picky eater? Packing lunch? We can still help!

Send your student to our salad bar to grab a FREE piece of fresh fruit, a veggie and a milk to round out their meal. Even adding a few items to a packed lunch makes a difference.

Here's why it matters: every student who participates helps us earn reimbursements that fund even better menus. So whether they take a full tray or just grab fruit and milk, every bit counts.

We saved them a seat.

What a way to make our day!

A heartfelt message from a parent sparked conversation across our entire office and culinary team.

Our freshly made bolognese sauce is packed with vegetables, the kind of fuel growing kids need. Notes like this are a powerful reminder of why we do what we do: helping students discover healthier food choices that support both their learning and long-term well-being.

The timing couldn't be more meaningful. Friday, May 1 is School Lunch Hero Day, and we'll be sharing this message with our entire team as a way to recognize and inspire the people behind this important work, and we’re proud to share this with our SCUSD community.

To the families who take a moment to reach out - thank you. Your words fuel us just as much as our food fuels your kids. 💚
