October is Farmworker Appreciation Month! 🌱

We're celebrating the people who grow our food and shining a light on the challenges they face beyond the fields.

Meet , a local nonprofit organization working to make affordable homeownership a reality for farmworkers in our region.

Because supporting local food means supporting the people who grow it, too. ❤️

Everyone, meet Jackie! 👩‍🍳

She's our Bakery Manager, a pastry school grad, and one of the people behind all those cookies, cakes, and mini cheesecakes you love.

Over the past five and a half years, Jackie has helped our bakery grow A LOT. Most recently, she and her team moved into a brand-new production space built just for them, which means more room to bake and try out new recipes!

And if you know anything about our bakery, you know we take our scratch-made treats seriously.

For example, those pumpkin goodies filling our bakery cases right now? Jackie and her team actually roast and purée organic pumpkins from local farms themselves. No canned pumpkin here! 🎃

And now that they've got more room to play, Jackie's already dreaming up what's next. Think fruit tarts, croissants, and more (we're patiently waiting 👀).
We sat down with Jackie to talk about her journey, her amazing team, and what makes our bakery so special.

A little change can go a long way. 💛

This month, your Round Up donations are supporting , a program of that gives children ages 3–15 who are experiencing homelessness a safe place to learn while their families access other services on campus.

Students are provided with meals, snacks, school supplies, and whatever else they may need to get through the school day feeling supported.

And thank you for showing up last month, too — together, you raised $5,331 for Soil Born Farms. So far, our community has raised $632,046.64 through Round Up.
