Still don't know how I survived this past week...

We made hundreds of items for wholesale, catering, AND the farmers market without our own oven. Those of you who let me borrow/rent your kitchens came thru in a big way. Community over everything 💪🏾

Last week's first out of town catering service event brought us to Foster City, CA! We brought four types of cupcakes (matcha, lemon, pistachio rose cardamom, & Meyer lemon), brownies, chocolate chip cookies, and of course the favorite banana bread 🍌🍞

Thank you to everyone who supported Brown Rice Bakery for another year 🙏🏾💙 This one was a doozy!

Without YOU, we wouldn't have started at the Midtown Farmers Market this spring, won "Best Vegan Food" and 3rd "Best Cookies" in Sacramento Favorites, had our first savory food restaurant popup at win "Best Community Event," represent for another year at the Tower Bridge Dinner, host and cook for 10 more events with amazing local chefs, catered a Sacramento Kings pride month event, launched new products, added new wholesale clients, had a record breaking sales day , or catered multiple UC events.

We wouldn't be celebrating moving into our 5TH YEAR of business, without YOU. So thank you 🥂🎊💜

May 2026 be full of new adventures, accomplishment, rest, and joy! And of course, dessert 🥰

Last week, Brown Rice Bakery's owner J had the pleasure of speaking on a UC Cooperative Extension panel about what it's like starting and running a cottage food operation.

We love a chance to connect with the community, including local farmers looking to start making value-added products to their business -- not a small undertaking!
