Jennifer Hart-Mora

I realize I haven't been writing on the New Chef's wall but now I have something important to say. My name is Jennifer (AKA Momma J's Bakery, MommaJsBakery.com and 916.204.6997) and a former student of the Art Institute Baking and Pastry Program. On January 1st, 2014 I will become the proudest parent as a vendor teaching culinary and nutritional education for Visions in Education here in Sacramento. I am so proud of myself for FINALLY accomplishing a direction and goal I've been wanting to reach for quite a while. Thanks goes out to those who helped support me along the way and for those that were unaware, please pass on my name for catering, classes, and parties. Momma J's Bakery (MommaJsBakery.com and 916.204.6997) will be teaching K-8 students cooking, baking, nutrition, decorating, and so many other fun facts that there won't be enough room on the schedule. I also remain the Wilton Instructor at Michaels on Watt and El Camino so check out my schedule online. Coming VERY SOON will b additional classes of m own design for sugar flowers, chocolate modeling, and kitchen fabrication (cookie cutters, silicone molds, and much, much more). Hopefully, in about 2 months, I will also be on Craftsy.com teaching these same classes that I scripted. So excited; thanks again to everyone who has helped along the way and enjoy.

Who wants to learn to make specialized silicon molds for cake decorating? Would you also like to make your own cookie cutters? What about coloring your gum paste flowers using airbrushing techniques, color dust, and food coloring paint? Let me know because I'm teaching classes starting this month.

Doesn't this look like the real thing? Pink Toms are the best . . . especially when they're made from sugar paste

Stop by Michaels on Watt at El Camino at this Saturday's (9/22) Halloween Demo (11-3) and get Decorating Basics class for only $5. This is a 4-week course that teaches about cake baking, buttercream making, to the final decorations of flowers and border designs. That's 4-weeks of instruction for only FIVE BUCKS.
