The Trini Table

Sweet bread is not on our regular menu, but we couldn’t say no to this customer's request. Freshly baked Trinidad sweet bread.

Sometimes you just need a little taste of home, when you're away from home.

You see doubles. We see all the work that happens before the channa (chickpeas) and sauces are added

🇹🇹 A lil taste of home this Saturday!

Fry bake and saltfish, sautéed with onions, tomatoes, carrots and plenty Trini flavor.

We’re making a limited batch, so when it done… it done!

We realize that food from Trinidad & Tobago may be new to some of you guys, so we wanted to tell you about bhaji rice with salted pigtail. It was last Saturday’s special.

If you’ve never had bhaji rice before, think of it as a Trini-style cook-up rice. The rice is cooked together with bhaji (leafy greens, pronounced Ba-g), coconut milk, fresh seasonings and pieces of salted pigtail, so all that flavor cooks right into the rice.

The salted pigtail gives it that rich, savory flavor, while the coconut milk and bhaji bring everything together.

It's one of Trinidad's comfort food.

We paired ours with fried fish because… why not? 😋
