My wife and I were both born and raised on farms here in western Pennsylvania, when our three daughters needed jobs we explored several ideas for a family based business. We began with 5 recipes but soon customers began asking for products that we didn’t have. Some were old recipes handed down from our grandmothers while others are originals created right here in our kitchen. There are several key points that set our products apart from others. First, we have realized that in our Amish heritage we cook sweet rather than salty, this is the reason for our low sodium products. Second, is that we use fresh produce and no artificial flavorings or preservatives to maintain a vibrant flavor. It is important to us to know where our ingredients come from so we have partnered with several local farmers who raise green beans, cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes and everything in between. Finally we believe it is important to give back to the community. First by providing a desirable place of employment. But more important education is a priority for us, we are involved in activities and fundraisers at our local school. Byler’s Relish House aids in scholarship programs, and we also help our community with financial aid in charities and missions.
