World Famous Salsa Trail The Official Page for the World Famous Salsa Trail Casa Mañana-
This landmark restaurant has been a family tradition of fine Mexican food since 1951. First Ave.

Gabby and Emma Gabaldon began cooking their delicious recipes in the humble kitchen of this home where Casa Mañana has been for nearly 55 years. The Hoopes family now continues the tradition of legendary food delivered with a sense of warmth and hospitality you can find at home. Sit back, relax and enjoy yourselves while we prepare your meal. El Charro-
Located in the historic Reynolds & Jeters Building, it's the oldest continuously owned and operated restaurant in the Gila Valley. El Charro has been serving delicious green chile since 1955. With the same cook for 27 years, consistent excellence is this restaurant's hallmark. "People who are adults come in and say it tastes the same way it did when they were kids," says the manager. The house specialty is the Chalaca, fried masa shaped like a bowl, filled with beans and red or green chile meat and topped with lettuce, tomato, and cheese.

Gimee's-
For almost 20 years this family-owned restaurant has served charbroiled steaks and fantastic Mexican food. The unusual chile rellenos aren't dipped in batter and fried- they're more like a crepe. A hamburger bar with all the fixings from bacon to green chile to cheese to jalapenos is enormously popular. "Over and over we get compliments on our food," owner Holly Scott said. "We have friendly waitresses and plenty of them so it's as quick as can be." Highway 75

La Paloma-
In continuous operation for over 32 years - Fernando the lead cook has been on the job for over 20-years and has only missed 2 days. The original adobe structure dates back 80 years. Solomon was the original County seat and one of the earliest settlements in the Gila Valley - settled in 1876's by Jewish settlers from Pennsylvania. Some winter visitors come to La Paloma as a first stop before they even go to their local home. Chilies sun dried from the field, sopapillas, home made enchilada sauce, and frozen margaritas are part of the bill of fare of this unpretentious restaurant.

In coordination with the Presidential proclamation, Governor Doug Ducey has ordered flags at all state buildings be lowered to half-staff immediately until sunset on October 22, 2021 to honor General Colin Powell.
Governor Ducey stated "Colin Powell's passing is a great loss for our nation. He had a steadfast commitment to America and our national security, as a retired four-star general with 35 years of military service, White House National Security Advisor and Secretary of State. My prayers are with Powell’s wife, Alma, and his family."
